Visual Indicators

Visual Indicators in Scoot add colored rings around participant video bubbles, automatically assigned based on their answers to Smart Badging questions to visually categorize them. This feature makes it easy to quickly identify different groups.

What Are Visual Indicators?

Visual Indicators are a feature designed to work alongside our Smart Badging system, providing a unique color assignment to participant video bubbles based on their answers to selected Smart Badging questions. This innovation adds a dynamic, colorful ring around video bubbles, making it effortlessly simple to distinguish participants based on their roles, departments, or any other relevant categorization.

Benefits of Visual Indicators

  • Enhanced Visual Differentiation: Easily identify different participant roles, departments, and categories at a glance through color-coded indicators.
  • Streamlined Navigation: Navigate large virtual gatherings with ease, quickly identifying speakers, attendees, or team members during various events.
  • Increased Engagement: Foster targeted and meaningful interactions by recognizing participant categories through their visual indicators.

How to Enable Visual Indicators

  1. Integration with Smart Badging: Begin by setting up a Smart Badging question that participants will answer when registering or entering your virtual room.

  2. Assigning Colors: Once the Smart Badging question is set, the Scoot platform will automatically assign a unique color to each potential response. These colors are then reflected as visual indicators around the participant's video bubble.

  3. Customization Options: You have the flexibility to customize the color palette used for Visual Indicators to match your event's theme or branding.

  4. Viewing in Virtual Rooms: As participants join the virtual room, you'll notice colored rings around their video bubbles, reflecting their responses to the Smart Badging question.
