  • Update maximum group size.

By Clicking on Room Settings, you can see the features you can disable or enable as a Host

As the Host, you will always have access to the full list of features and permissions, but you can designate which features are available to your participants.

Map Settings

The Map Settings tab allow you to select how you want your minimap to display in the room upon entry. You have the option to have the map appear as Closed, Open, or Expanded. The Expanded map is recommended for rooms featuring image designs and layouts.

Join Settings

You can also go to Join Settings to determine how users will enter your Scootaverse. The options here are for anyone with a link to join or anyone who has a verified Scoot account and is a member off your organization to join. This more restricted mode is only recommended for organizations who have fully deployed Scoot, as it can limit participant access significantly.

From the Join Settings, you can also enable "Allow Join Before Host". This allows users to enter your Scootaverse without a host being present. If you want a more exclusive entry flow, you can select "Require Host Admission". This feature will notify the host in the room that a user is attempting to enter. They will not be let in until the host has approved them.

Alternate Hosts

The Alternate Hosts portion of your settings allow select other users within your organization's account to be an alternate host for a room. Alternate hosts can perform all host privileges. Alternate hosts must have a paid license to be selected.
